LEAVING LAS VEGA$: Um, Does Frank Miller Know About This?

We're back home, and trying to process the immense sensory overload of the last three days. So much of what one sees in Las Vegas walks a very fine line between the amazing and the disturbing. Take the above poster, for instance. This ad was one of the few non-casino/cabaret/Carrot Top/Blue Man Group/Danny Gans posters to grace the walls of the Las Vegas airport. Visually striking, indeed, as it lifts the graphic style of Sin City and employs it to...recruit trigger-happy young people to join the Vegas police force. Is this a brilliant marketing strategy, or an utterly sublime instance of the tail wagging the dog? We report, you decide.
