Insert "Brokeback Gotham" Joke Here

I'm no expert on comics. I'm no expert on casting films. But something about the thought of sensitive golden-maned ladykiller Heath Ledger playing The Joker in Batman: The Dark Knight just feels bizarre. Granted, he's guaranteed not to leave as large a pox on the Batman franchise as Xenu's brainwashed courtesan Katie Holmes did in Batman Begins, but I'm just kind of stunned by the announcement. I think I can recover though, as long as they don't cast recent hair-explosion victim Haley Joel Osment as Robin.
